Patricio "Pato" Diaz was born in Valparaíso, Chile, and pursued his education in Viña del Mar, where he earned a degree in marketing. He began his career working in the finance department at the city hall in his hometown before making the bold decision to move to New York City in 1991 to further his creative development in Graphic Design and Theater arts.
This journey reflects his passion for growth and innovation, setting the stage for exciting new opportunities.
Coming to America
Patricio's journey began in May 1991 when he left Viña del Mar for the vibrant streets of NYC. Despite facing language barriers and intense challenges, his perseverance and talent shone through over a remarkable 25-year career as a graphic artist.
He made his mark in advertising, branding, and publishing, collaborating with major agencies while simultaneously pursuing his passion for acting at the renowned acting school

In 1997, he embarked on a project he refers to as "Photo-Illustration," an innovative approach to digitizing images. This technique involves transforming visuals and applying effects that highlight shape and color, creating a modern interpretation ofillism. It explores the tension between form, reality, and abstraction, emphasizing the crucial role of imagination in the artistic process. Through this work, viewers are invited to engage with the dynamic interplay of perception and creativity.

2019 to Present Time
In late 2019, Patricio and family relocated to New Hampshire, embarking on a new adventure. By 2021, they settled in Windsor, Vermont, where the kids attend school and Patricio is now part of the Timmy the Sloth Online Shop team. The vibrant beauty of their new town and state serves as a key inspiration for the creative logo design, reflecting the charm and character of their community

In 2013, He made the life-changing moving to Puerto Jimenez, Costa Rica and established PATO DIAZ Design, a silkscreen studio specializing in printing t-shirts, hats, stickers, vinyl wall art, and more. My experiences in Costa Rica have profoundly shaped him, as it is where his daughter Julieta was born and where he welcomed his stepson Saul into my life.
Living in rainforest has deepened his respect for nature and himself.
Timmy the sloth represents the continuation of this creative journey that began in Puerto Jimenez.
